Please note petal skirts are wearable for any  style or sizing you would like to create! The measurements for hip simply means the petals fall between this distance.  They can be worn  many ways.  

    Do not try to make a perfect match your hip measure.   This is not necessary.

You may wish to wear it with a gap/opening - this is OK!

or wear with it overlapped - this is OK!

Do try to match a look you would like to create with the amount of fabric and sizings on the skirt you are pondering ...
