Loading... Please wait...Betsy Johnson, our local senator District 13, has been a patron for years - she gives many scarves as gifts. I first met Betsy while vending at the Astoria Sunday Market in 2006. It was a real delight to meet up with her again in Jan 2011 and for her to discover our full building of silk, since grown from my tiny 2006 studio operation in the much earlier overgrown home garage!
These days when she stops into the studio, our conversations often revolve around the challenges I face as a small business and she has even been instrumental in sharing scarf samples to others. Thank YOU, Betsy For all that You Do. You have my vote, and you always have.

Here, above, I took this photo recently, in our studio JAN 2012 .... fittingly, with silk fans in the background!

Here she is at a short public address where she asks for support of The Arts MARCH2011
...and another, here below, I found on her website!!
You can listen to Betsys' weekly address just by visiting her site!

Meanwhile, here is a fun photo I found of Betsy illustrating her obvious love of scarves.

We look forward to capturing new photos of Betsy with Fairy Cove scarves soon!!
