Betsy Johnson, our local senator District 13,  here in Columbia County, Oregon has  been visiting Fairy Cove  recently and stocking up on gifts for Valentines Day.   There should be a live feed on 2/14 and we will surely be eyeing scarves   adorning the senate floor!

Meanwhile here is a fun photo I found of Betsy illustrating her obvious love of scarves.  I first met Betsy while vending at the Astoria Sunday Market in 2006. It was a real delight to meet up with her again in Jan 2011 and for her to discover our full building of silk, since grown from my 2006 studio operation in the much earlier overgrown home garage on Ross Road!
