Vertical Patterns are those that go long across the fabric so that your pattern must adjust to the size of your fabric. (Quite the majority of our patterns are Horizontal)
Often Poi Veils are dyed vertically to maximize their visual movement - dyeing vertically allows the colors to stay separate while moving.
The same is true for our silk fans. While not many unique colorstyles are shown here in this family, you can see examples of many colors 'dyed long' in our Silk Fan Veil Section here
